Global Dial-up Internet Access Connection Manager


The Connection Manager provides a graphical user interface to connect to the Internet using the iWebToday MyHosting SoftCom Global Dial-up Internet Access Service. The user interface consists of a logon dialog box and a set of property dialog boxes with which you can customize your connection settings. It also maintains a phone book for the local access points. Each Point of Presence (POP) provides a telephone number that allows you to make a local call for access to online services.

System requirements for Connection Manager

Connection Manager requires at least 1 megabyte (MB) of free disk space and one of the following:

  • Windows 98
  • Windows 95
  • Windows NT Workstation 4.0 or later. It is recommended that the latest Windows NT service pack be installed. Windows NT Service Pack 3 (or later) provides support for multiple modems or dial-up scripting. Users can obtain the current Network and Dial-Up Connections software by downloading it as a Microsoft Windows update from the Microsoft Support Online Web site
  • Windows 2000
Installation Instructions

1. Download the Connection Manager by the clicking link below.
2. After download is successfully completed, run the 'scm.exe' by double-clicking on it.
3. Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the installation.
4. To configure SCM, follow the instructions at "Using iWeb Today's MyHosting Connection Manager"
