Your
domain name is your identity on the Web. Many companies have been able
to register their company name, or a version of that name, as their
domain name. Domain names you purchase can be active with a hosting
account, or parked for use at a later date.
Before you can put a site up for hosting, you need to register a unique domain name. Once the name is officially yours, you can use it for your site. You are the administrator and billing contact for your domain. If anyone tries to alter the domain in any way, you will be contacted first.
A domain name can be up to 67 characters long consisting of numbers, letters and dashes. Use the "check domain name" box below to check whether your domain is available.

Domain
Name Registrars
Registrars are entities that register domain names in the DNS on behalf
of registrants (i.e., domain name holders). Registrars have contractual
agreements with their registrants and maintain the customer data for
each of their registrants. MyHosting has two partners which provide
our valued customers with .com, .net and .org domain name registration
service.
OpenSRS
iWebToday via MyHosting has established a relationship
with OpenSRS to provide our valued customers with a domain name registration
fee of US $9.95 per year. The fee will be billed by SoftCom and
will appear on your monthly statement. You will be billed every year
thereafter.

Network Solutions Inc.
MyHosting is a Gold Premier partner of Network
Solutions Inc. (also known as NSI or InterNIC). For Network Solutions
registration, iWebToday via MyHosting (Softcom) charges US $14.95
per year. You will be billed on sign-up for your first year, and then
every year thereafter.
If you already have a domain name ending in .com, .org, or .net registered
at Network Solutions Inc., MyHosting (powered by SoftCom Technologies)
can apply NSI on your behalf to transfer the domain SoftCom. The administrative
and technical contacts should still approve the transfer.

Other TLD Registrars
iWebToday MyHosting can host domain names ending with .uk, .de,
.ch, .cc, .us or similar Top Level Domain names. If you have a domain
name registered with another TLD registrar or wish to register one,
please contact appropriate authority on that TLD. Our Customer Support
will be glad you to help on this matter.
Similarly, if you registered your domain name ending with .com .net
.org at any other registrars, you need to contact them to transfer your
domain to MyHosting. Since every registrar has different policy
and method on domain transfer, SoftCom cannot initiate a domain transfer
at any registrar else than Network Solutions.
